Født ca. 1690 Biografi - The family name 'Ferák' is first seen in Poteč in 1723 with the birth of Štěpán, son of Mikuláš Ferák and his wife Susanna. Since a copy of the church register goes back to 1688, it must be assumed that Mikuláš and Susanna had moved to Poteč from another parish than Valašské Klobouky. One other son of Mikuláš and Susanna is known with certainty. His name was Martin, and his father's name was mentioned at his marriage in 1760. Martin must have been born during the gap in the church register from 1727 to 1739.
Martin lived in Poteč no. 21 and Štěpán lived in Poteč no. 46. More or less contemporary with Štěpán and probably also living in no. 46 is Mikuláš Ferák, who must be assumed to be the third son of Mikuláš and Susanna and, like Martin, born some time between 1727 and 1739.
There seems to be also a fourth son, Jan Ferák, who died 1739-40. He had a daughter, Anna, posthumously in 1740, and in the same year his widow, also called Anna, married Jiří Juřica from Poteč. One of the the witnesses at their wedding was Martin Ferák. It is not clear where he fits in, unless he is the father of Jan, and therefore a brother of Mikuláš the elder.

In 1767 Jan Juřica "seu Ferak", 56 dies 56 years old (opis66 (347)). So he is born ab. 1711. And therefore he is not a son of the Jan Ferák mentioned above, whose widow married Jiří Juřica.
